Mary Jo was born in Gordon County, Georgia on June 26, 1938, the daughter of the late Jasper and Clara Edwards Haygood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Lee (Bud) Pack; two sisters, Betty Garrett and Ruby Franks; and brother, Williard Haygood.
She had lived her entire life in and around the Red Bud Community, having been employed by the Gordon County School system as a cafeteria worker at Red Bud School before retirement.
She is survived by her family that loved her dearly. One daughter, Tammy (Marvin) Cox; five sons, Tony Pack, Rickey (Paula) Pack, Richard (Angie) Pack, Billy Pack, and Robert (Selena) Pack; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Booneford Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Quarles officiating. Burial will follow in Crane Eater Cemetery with Rev. Clyde McEntyre in charge of the graveside service. Dale Stone will be in charge of the music. Pallbearers serving include Baylee Pack, Bradlee Cox, Kolton Lance, Hunter Lance, Shaun Pack, Crosley Brady, and DJ Brookshire; honorary pallbearers include Tony Pack, Rickey Pack, Richard Pack, Billy Pack, Robert Pack, and Marvin Cox.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM.
