Mary Padilla Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by All Veterans Funeral & Cremation - Colorado Springs on Feb. 4, 2026.
Mary Priscilla Padilla, born March 9, 1935, in Las Dispensas, New Mexico.

Priscilla, also known as Percy, was preceded in death by her parents, Eulogio Salazar and Julianita Salazar; her sister, Angie Gomez; and her brothers, Frank Salazar, Greg Salazar, Amador Salazar, and Charlie Salazar.

Priscilla had a sense of quiet strength about her. You would feel her presence of love, stability, and dependability, and she was always genuine. She was a great listener, and when she shared her thoughts, it was loving and kind. We are grateful for her long life, for the love she gave so freely, and for the family and community she helped shape.

Priscilla was a devoted wife to Willie. Together, they shared nearly 69 years of marriage. Everywhere they went, they held hands. That kind of love and commitment was displayed until death did them part. A special bond that only very few couples achieve, an example for us all to follow.

Priscilla had twin daughters, Jane and June. Priscilla was a loving mother, a proud grandmother to Dominique, William, Richard, and Megan, and a cherished great-grandmother to Tayden, Sophia, Olivia, Camila, and Telia.

Priscilla's love for her family was steady and unconditional. She supported them quietly, celebrated them proudly, and was always there when she was needed.

Priscilla worked at Colonial Columns Nursing Center as a Nurse's Aide. She also worked at Memorial Hospital as a Nurse's Aide. She then went to work for Current. She also worked as a teacher's aide, where she spent five years helping kindergarteners.

Priscilla was involved as a member of the Elks Lodge 309 Ladies Klub for 48 years, as well as serving as Past Ladies Klub President.

Priscilla loved to go camping and hunting with Willie. Best of all, she truly enjoyed roasting chile, making chicos, prune pies, sopa, and chokecherry jelly every year with her family. She also loved to crochet beautiful blankets for her family.

Caring for others wasn't just her passion; it was who she was. That passion was evident throughout her entire career. She taught nurses about making patients comfortable as a Nurse's Aide. As a Teacher's Aide, she had a special gift with children, offering kindness, reassurance, and encouragement. Her presence will be missed, but her spirit lives on in the memories and the love she leaves behind.

May Priscilla be welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord, reunited with those who went before her, and granted the eternal peace she so faithfully believed in. As we entrust her to God's mercy, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the love she shared, her caring hands, and the family she cherished.

May the light of Jesus Christ guide her home, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
