Mary Gail Parkton, 91, of Pensacola, FL passed away on September 15, 2025.

She was born in Little Rock, AR to William Edward Buck and Ola Mae Key Buck. The family moved from Little Rock to Panama City, FL. in early childhood, then moved and spent most of her young life in Robertsdale, AL.

Gail married Forrest Junior Jerkins in 1950 and they had six children. She attended Plainview Baptist Church in Pensacola.

She is preceded in death by parents, William Edward Buck and Ola Mae Buck; husband, Forrest Junior Jerkins; husband, Elmer Orville Parkton; sons: Forrest Michael Jerkins and Roger Wade Jerkins; grandson, Richard Allen Born; brothers R.W. (Billy) Buck and Gerald Buck; and sisters, Doris Warthan and Linda Stewart.

Mary is survived by daughters: Wanda Gail (Allen) Born, Sandra Kaye Bunch and Carla Dawn (Travis) Parker; son, Mark Edward Jerkins; grandchildren: Jocelyn Kaye (Brian) Jordan, Rheannon Kaye (Bradley) Ellison, Diana Marie Born, Cameron Sean (Haley) Mayer, Chantal Ruthan Parker, Travis Cameron (Savanah) Parker; and great-grandchildren: Hannah Lauren Ellison, Gavin Sterling Jordan, Abigail Rose Jordan, Forrest Allen Born and Kash Hudson Parker; sister, Julia Carolyn Mitchell and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday September 22, 2025, at Plainview Baptist Church, 1101 W. 9 Mile Road, Pensacola, FL. The visitation will start at 9:30 a.m. and service will start at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 15001 Styx River Road, Stapleton, AL. A reception to follow at home of Sandy Bunch.
