Mary Patton Obituary
Mary Jewell Patton was born November 7, 1934 in Nashville Tennessee to the late Samuel and Julia Crawford. She departed this earth on February 26, 2025 at the age of 90. She was the youngest of three children.
She accepted Christ at an early age. Mary Jewell obtained her education in the Davidson County Public school system where she graduated from Pearl High School.
She was married to the late Eugene Patton for 25 years and later divorced, embracing life with resilience and grace in her late years.
Mary Jewell worked many years for Genesco Company and then became a house sitter and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her father, Samuel Crawford, and mother, Julia Crawford and beloved brother Thomas Crawford.
Mary Jewell leaves to cherish her loving memories: Children: James (Darlene) Crenshaw, Daniel Patton, Michael Patton and Karen (Richard) Southall; Grandchildren: Latoya Alexander, KaTonya (Raymond) Chandler, James E. (Tonette) Crenshaw, Daniel Patton Jr., Dominique (Brandon) Burton, Marcuz (Casey) Southall, Deyon Southall, Brianna Frierson, Jamal Patton; Great grandchildren: Kendall Chandler, Kinzie Burton, Brandon Burton Jr., Demi Burton, James E. Crenshaw II, Joi Crenshaw, and Israel Southall; Sister: Samuela Crawford, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
