Mary E. Quarles, 81, passed away on September 17, 2025, in Stephenville, Texas. Services for Mary will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel in Stephenville, TX, with Dan Carter officiating. The Quarles Family will receive visitors an hour prior to service on Saturday.
Mary was born on June 17, 1944, in Stephenville, Texas, to Lloyd Lucas and Ealnor C (Richards) Lucas. She graduated from Lingleville High School and was a school bus driver and member of Morgan Mill Baptist Church. She married Marlin L. Quarles on February 16, 1962 at Lingleville Baptist Church. Mary loved living on the farm, and teaching her GA’s at Morgan Mill Baptist, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband, Marlin Quarles; her children, Marlene Traweek and husband, John, Leroy Quarles, and Tommy Quarles and wife, Larrah; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ealnor Lucas, and 6 siblings.
Memorials may be made to the Morgan Mill Volunteer Fire Department, Co Rd 173 Box 13, Morgan Mill, TX 76465.
