Mary Ratliff, age 91, of Shiloh died on Thursday, November 22, 2024 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby. She was born January 21, 1933 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Adam and Rebecca (Howard) Whitaker.
A true family woman, Mary was a homemaker who cherished the time that she spent raising her children and spending time with those that she loved most. A creative spirit, she enjoyed crocheting in her spare time and particularly liked making a Coat of Many Colors Afghan which many adored. She was a wonderful caregiver, cook, and comforter, who welcomed all with open arms and will be fondly remembered for her warm personality. Mary deeply loved her family and her Jesus.
Survivors include her loving children, Connie (Jeff) Knapp, Yvonne Hively, Sally Ratliff, and Luther (Christina) Rollie Frank II Ratliff; sister, Evalee Shepherd; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
When Mary entered Heaven there was surely a joyous reunion with her beloved husband, Frank Ratliff along with her parents; a son, Eddie Ratliff; daughter, Sandra Lively; son-in-law, Virgil Hivley; step-daughter, Linda Shepherd; and several brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the service begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich, OH 44837. Pastor David Clare will be officiating services. Burial will take place at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
