Tuesday, January 22, 1929 – Sunday, October 12, 2025
Mary Helen Bush Raynor passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Mrs. Raynor was born on Tuesday, January 22, 1929, to Louise and Jessie Bush of Scotland, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Willard Hugh Raynor, and by her grandson, Robert Bradley Raynor (Kayla) of Anderson, South Carolina.
Mrs. Raynor was a lifelong resident of Telfair County, a member of McRae First Baptist Church, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Eastman School of Business and was retired from the Telfair County school system where she served as secretary of the primary school for 37 years. She was a member of the Georgia Retired Educators Association.
She is survived by one son, Robert Raynor of Pismo Beach, California, and one daughter, Beth Hilliard (David) of McRae, 4 grandchildren, Michelle Hamm (Thomas) of Woodstock, Andy Bland (Tammie) and Will Bland (Andrea) of Douglas, and Benjamin Raynor of Atlanta. She had 4 great-grandchildren, Madison Raynor, Brady Raynor and Kaden Raynor of Anderson, South Carolina and Miles Hamm of Woodstock.
Visitation with family members will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Lowes Funeral Home. Services for Mrs. Raynor will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at McRae First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Telfair Memorial Gardens.
