Mary Ruth Rickenbaugh, age 98, of English, IN passed away on May 24, 2023, in Corydon, IN at the home of her daughter Janice Hill.
She was born on July 5, 1924, to Everett Kellams and Aurora Wright in Riddle, IN.
Mary was a mother and homemaker and worked at Central State Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. In a time when childbirth was difficult, Mary gave birth to a set of triplets and all survived. She was a member of the Hillview Christian Church in Marengo, IN. She enjoyed gardening and flower gardening, canning, and outdoors.
She is preceded in death by her husband Floyd Rickenbaugh, children; Rita Mae Brown, Billy Rickenbaugh, granddaughter Tina Corn, daughter-in-law Linda Rickenbaugh, and siblings Hilda Fay Denton, Charles Crecelius and Ray Crecelius.
Mary is survived by her children; Wayne Rickenbaugh of Huntingburg, IN, Janice (James) Hill of Corydon, IN, Linda (Carl) Mattingly of West Fork, IN, Victor (Joyce) Rickenbaugh, Michael (Paula) Rickenbaugh of Birdseye, IN, Jayne (Chuck) Mattingly of English, IN, 9 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home, English, IN.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 10:00 am until service time of 2:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home.
Officiating the funeral service will be Bro. Paul Walerczak with burial to follow at Foster's Ridge Cemetery,
