Mary Jane Gryskiewicz was born on March 2, 1932 in Wanger Township, Marshall County, MN, the daughter of August and Angeline (Kurowski) Gryskiewicz. She went to country school until the 8th grade. Mary's first job was at the local grocery store in Stephen, MN. She attended Beauty College in Fargo, ND and moved Drayton, ND where she had a beauty shop. On November 21, 1964, Mary was united in marriage to Joseph "Ed" Robertson. They made their home in Argyle where they farmed. They moved to Grand Forks, ND in 1998 after retiring from farming. In 2008, they moved to East Grand Forks. After they moved the Grand Forks area, Mary did product demonstrations for Procter & Gamble in local stores
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and presently a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Left to mourn her passing are two sons, Dennis and Pami (Halvorson) Robertson of East Grand Forks, MN and Joel Robertson of Manassas, VA; grandchildren, Hayli and Courtney Robertson and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald Gryskiewicz and Conrad Gryskiewicz and sisters, Irene Urbaniak, Alice Borowicz and Pauline Olssen.
Funeral Mass: Services are tentatively scheduled for Friday morning, December 5, 2025 in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Argyle, MN.
