Mary Rose Torres was born in Port Lavaca, Texas on January 10, 1955. She passed away October 31, 2023, at the age of 68.
Mary had been a dedicated member of The Fellowship Church for many years, unwavering in her commitment to God's word. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, particularly her beloved great-grandchildren. She had a deep passion for scouring garage sales, pawn shops, and resale stores. Most importantly, Mary was a devout prayer warrior, finding solace in reading the Bible, worshipping the Lord, and passionately sharing the story of her faith in Jesus and the profound impact He had on her life.
She is preceded in death by her father Sabino P. Torres, mother Isabel G. Torres Lopez, and siblings Jose Angel Garcia, Linda Kay Torres Henderson, Sabino Torres Jr, Martin Torres, Larry G. Torres, Teresa Torres Sellers.
Mary is survived by her siblings: Maria Lara Escalante (spouse Homer), Alonzo Lara (spouse Carol), Trinidad Torres Ortiz (spouse Richard), Esteban G Torres, Josie Torres Grimaldo (spouse Sammy), MatildeTorres (spouse Ana), Carlos Torres, Celia Torres Neyland. Children: Eric Torres, Nick Gomez (spouse Victoria), Elisa Gomez, and David Gomez (spouse Shae). Grandchildren: Blake, Alyssa, Alexis, Celine, Rakelle, Destiny, Aidan, Syniah, Allie, David Jr, Jersey, Hayden, Jewel, Joy, Rocky Jr, Linkin, Grace, Jayce, Rodie, Journey +14 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Nick Gomez, Marc Martinez, Blake Cochran, Aidan Gomez, Hayden Vanier, Miguel Melendez, Christopher Hernandez and Miguel Rivera
The funeral service will be held on November 10th, 2023, at 10:00am at The Fellowship Church with interment at the Galveston memorial park cemetery. Celebration of life following the end of burial at Pallet Bar and Grill
