MaryLou Louise Scheumann

1949 - 2023

Mary Louise Scheumann, 73, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on October 30, 2023, She was born on December 25, 1949, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Richard B. Lengerich and the late Lena (May) Lengerich-Bennett. She was united in marriage to Thomas K. Scheumann on August 3, 1979, in Decatur, Indiana.

MaryLou retired from Adams Memorial Hospital Behavioral Health following ten years of service.

She loved finding good deals when shopping, reading, gardening, flowers, playing Canasta, going to casinos, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Scheumann of Decatur, Indiana; son, Chris (Donna) Scheumann of Flagstaff, Arizona; daughter, Terri Scheumann of Los Angeles, California; brother, John (Dianne) Lengerich of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two sisters, Diane Probst of Ohio City, Ohio and Virgene Rich of Orlando, Florida; two grandchildren, Corey (Katie) Crabbs of Westfield, Indiana and Hannah (Parker Munger) Myers of Long Beach, California; and one great-grandchild, Finley Rose Crabbs.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Codey Crabbs; and sister, Theresa Huffman.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the Mirage Banquet Hall in Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials can be given to Adams Wells Crisis Center or Donor's Choice.
