It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Amerson Scurry.
Mrs. Scurry age 87 passed away Monday morning in Sumter, SC.
Services will be 3:00pm Thursday, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home in Bishopville. Burial will be in Ashwood Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Scurry was born in Darlington, SC the daughter of the late Clyde and Armetta Elizabeth Kelley Amerson. She was a member of Ashwood Baptist Church since 1963.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Kathy (Larry) Nelson, Lugoff, SC, Angel (Jon) Brannon, Bishopville, SC, Brenda Geddings, Bishopville, SC; son, Johnny (Denise) Scurry, Bishopville, SC, Gabe (April) Scurry, Neeses, SC; sister, Martha Risinger, Hartsville; special niece, Jeanine Gardon, Stanfield, NC; son in law, Mike Watson, Bishopville, SC; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren; special friend, Janice Scurry, Bishopville, SC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roland Scurry, daughter, Beth Watson, brothers, Buddy Amerson and Robert Amerson, Clyde Amerson, Jr. and Kelly Amerson.
