Mary Louise (Smith) Severance, 92, of Claremont, NH, formerly of Hooksett, NH, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 7, 2022.
She was born in Milford, NH, on January 8, 1930, daughter of the late Louis R. and Elizabeth (Frye) Smith. Prior to her marriage, she was a private care LPN. Family was her most important treasure, as she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite past times were playing Bingo and cards with her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble and Chinese Checkers. Nothing could stop her when it came to shopping or attending yard sales with her family as she was always looking for “treasures”. She also looked forward to attending the Hopkinton and the Deerfield fairs with her daughters and granddaughters every year. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Severance in 2007.
Her family members include her five children Lorraine De Rosa and her husband Michael of Claremont, Robert Severance of Danbury, CT, Patricia Davis and her husband Tracy of Lisbon, James Severance of Hooksett, and Nancy Pariseau and her husband Yves of Auburn; 11 grandchildren,15 great grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday September 17, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester NH from 10:00 AM until Noon with a memorial service to follow at Noon in the funeral home chapel.
