Mary Shields Obituary

She was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Mount Eden for over 67 years. She loved birdwatching, gardening, and cooking.
Mary Louise was preceded in death by her husband, G.C. Shields, parents, Newton and Nannie Mae Ireland Keeling, her sisters, Susie Miller, Ruby Ellingsworth, Elizabeth Riley, Doris Carden and Effie Keeling, her brothers, James Elva and Harvey Keeling.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Ann Ware (Scott) of Mount Eden, Kentucky, her sons, Ricky Shields (Regina) and Junior Shields (Carol) both of Shelbyville, Kentucky, her grandchildren, Andrew Ware, Sara Frank, Kelly Cammack, Tim Shields, Tiffany Shields, Logan Shields, Samantha Stinnett and Megan Harbin and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday November 17, 2025 at the Shannon Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Conway and Rev. Ryan Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday November 17, 2025 at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Mount Moriah Building Fund 12154 Mount Eden Road Waddy, Kentucky 40076.
