Mrs. Mary Cooper Sligh, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Cooper and Juanita Elizabeth Wells Mangum.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 6-7:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with burial following at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Mrs. Sligh worked over the years at Sawyers Grocery Store, BUNS, and UAV (United Artist Video). She was an avid Walmart shopper and loved playing Bingo. She enjoyed attending car shows with her husband, Dwayne and together they showed various antique cars. She was married to Dwayne J. Sligh for 45 years before his passing in 2011.
Mrs. Sligh is survived by her daughter, Denise S. Williams (Roger) of Rock Hill; her sister, Karen Olney (Phil) of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, Kayla McClung (Sam), Blake Williams, Madison Williams, and Jacob Williams; and five great-grandchildren, Landyn McClung, Carson McClung, Brooklynn McClung, SJ McClung and Leland Williams.
