Obituary published on Legacy.com by Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home - Harrison on Jan. 7, 2026.
Mary Catherine Sprague, 75, of Harrison Ohio, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 7, 2026.

Mary was born May 18, 1950, in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Mary Jane and Kenneth Teague. Mary was the oldest of three daughters and a 1968 graduate of West High School in Columbus, OH. After moving to Cincinnati in the early 1970s, she met and married Thomas Sprague on July 17, 1976.

Mary and Tom raised their three children in Okeana, Ohio, where her most cherished role was as a mother and grandmother. She relished spending time supporting her children and later grandchildren at nearly every play, concert, or sporting event they had. She was a lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and loved attending football games and marching band concerts. Mary enjoyed reading, antiquing, and traveling. Her travels included numerous places across the country as well as the Bahamas and Jamaica.

Mary is survived by her children, James (Jamie) Sprague, David (Julie) Sprague, and Laura (Dustin Mann); her grandchildren, Rose (Mason), Vivian, Caleb, Philip, Brenden, Haley and Charlotte; her sister Rebecca (Mark) Evans; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; sister, Dianne Borror; mother-in-law, Doris Sprague; and sister-in-law, Joyce Grandstaff.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10th from 9am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 3350 Chapel Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Shandon, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Dementia Society of America, www.dementiasociety.org OR Queen City Hospice, www.queencityhospice.com

The family would like to thank the compassionate staff of Harrison Trail Health Campus and Queen City Hospice, who provided Mary comfort and peace in her final days.
