In Loving Memory
Mary Helen Metzler Stinnette
3/22/1957 – 01/22/2025
Mary Stinnette (67) was born in Knoxville, TN to the late Claude Maxine Metzler Sr. and Maggie Leona Kimberlin. She has lived in North Carolina for the last 45 years. She passed away suddenly but peacefully at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC due to health complications. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Metzler Sr. and Maggie Metzler, 5 sisters and 2 brothers, daughter Margarette "Leanne" Harverson, great grandson Wesley Sutton.
Mary enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, thrifting, canning, and loved nature and her 2 little dogs, Scar and Scarlette. She loved her family with everything she had in her, she loved to spend time talking and laughing with every one of us. She was one of the smartest people any of us knew and we all learned so much about life from her. She was the one who any of us could go to talk about anything, no matter the subject. She was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet, but she could have a mean-streak when need be. Mary was the matriarch of the family and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her husband Roger Dewayne "Wayne" Stinnette, sisters Daisy Lou Wheeler (Ed), Kimberly Claudette McGuire, Nicki Lynn Ball (Russell), children Keith Dewayne Stinnette, Candace Claudette Messer (Michael Townsend), Isaac Keith Stinnette (Teresa DeRosa), grandchildren Mary "Brendalynn" Sutton (Daniel), Jordan Mizzel, Austin Melton, Ashley Stinnette, Travis Stinnette, Nova Franks, Kimberly Stinnette, Regal Stinnette, Shane Townsend, Lillian "Lily" Stinnette, great grandson Dallas Bryson, and countless nieces and nephews who she loved with all her heart.
Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
