Mary P. Surrett

Mary P. Surrett, 90, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was of the Baptist faith and her favorite Scripture was Romans 8:28 and John 16 and 17. She was a beautiful and loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Surrett, Sr.; parents, Peter and Blanche Budgell; brothers, Frederick (Trudy) Budgell, Sr., Chesley (Eileen) Budgell and James Budgell; infant sister, Margaret Budgell; brother-in-law, Clyde (Bobbie) Surrett; very special friend, Ianthona Beckner.

She is survived by her son, Clark (Shelia) Surrett, Jr.; daughter, Joyce (Roger) Turnmire; grandchildren, Wayne (Amanda) Hash, Wesley (Kym) Mayes, April (Ron) McMillian and Kellie (Dale) Spurgeon; great-grandchildren, Megan Hash, Regan Hash, Haley Mayes, Hayden Mayes, Savannah McMillian, KaLynn Spurgeon, Austin Spurgeon, Dylan Henry, Dawson Henry, Anna Henry and Tucker Turnmire; great-great-grandchild, Kaylee Dean; dear friend, Effie Shelton; a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25 at Hamblen Memory Gardens with the Rev. James Williams officiating.

Pallbearers will be Austin Spurgeon, Regan Hash, Dylan Henry, Dawson Henry, Wes Henry and Travis Turnmire.
