Mary Lou Teets, 88, of Oakland, died on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Cherry Hill Assisted Living. She was born on July 2, 1934, in Kitzmiller, MD, and was the daughter of the late William Stanley and Arvilla V. Harvey.
She worked at the HP store and worked as a sterile processing technician at Bausch and Lomb. In her later years, she was a homemaker. She attended Faith Church. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed gardening. Mary Lou was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by her children, Charles W. Harvey and wife Joan, Paul Harvey and wife Amy, and Debbie Beckman, all of Oakland; step children, Hope Green and husband David, Lorie R. Friend, Bryan Shepherd and wife Beth, and Ralph "Marty" Shepherd; grandchildren, Brison Harvey and wife Hannah of Lawrenceburg, KY, Sara Marsh and husband Coty of Statesboro, GA, Jaiden Harvey and Regan Harvey, both of Oakland, Stacey Jeffries and husband Jim of Frostburg, and Robert Beckman and husband Brian Bowers; great grandchildren, Kash Fratz, Logan and Katy Jeffries, Dalton and Nicole Jeffries, Branson Jeffries and Alec Marsh; step grandchildren, Michael Green, Heather Green Gladfelter and husband Brett, Daniel Green, Christen L. Coddington, Christopher L. Friend, Autumn R. Friend, Jason, Jessica and Brett Shepherd, and Faith and Stephanie Shepherd; step great grandchildren, Mason and Addison Gladfelter; great great grandchildren, Karyson Jeffries, Easton Jeffries, and Evelyn Jeffries; a son-in-law, Danny Beckman and wife Brenda.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Bobbie Harvey, and her second husband, Ray A. Teets; and a sister, Gilda "Chick" Stasa.
Friends will be received on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 1 PM to 4 PM, and on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 10 AM to 11 AM, at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St. Oakland. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in the funeral home at 11 AM, with Pastor Jim Jeffries and Pastor Jeff Kroll officiating. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
