Mary Rose Thull, age 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Kettle Moraine Gardens Assisted Living in Kewaskum. She was born on January 29, 1928, daughter of the late Emil and Mary Moser (nee Berg). She was one of ten children who grew up on a farm in Nenno. On September 15, 1951, she was married to Edmund J. Thull at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nenno. Edmund and Mary Rose moved to the Thull family farm in the Town of Farmington in 1951. They were long-time members of St. Michael Catholic Church.
She was a wonderful cook and the family's go-to babysitter. Her heart overflowed with love for her children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a green thumb and was a supportive wife on the farm alongside her husband. If she wasn't looking after grandchildren, she was either milking cows, feeding calves, or keeping an eye on things from the kitchen window. Her faith was unwavering, and she was deeply involved in church activities. She played a key role in the CCD program, teaching and guiding. She also supported the pregnancy hotline "Friends for Life" and was an active member of the Christian Women at St. Michael's. Her meals were always homemade, with ingredients she canned from her garden. She was known for her incredible sense of humor, always bringing laughter to those around her. As a role model, she inspired her family through her actions, leaving behind a lasting legacy of leadership and love.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include seven children, Mark (Tina) Thull, Julie (Gordon) Darmody, Jane (Gery) Schweder, Rita (David) Skinner, Claire (John) Hochrein, Carl (Chris) Thull, and Jason (Danielle) Thull; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one sister, Veronica Gindt; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Rose was preceded in death by one great-grandchild; two brothers; six sisters; brothers and sisters-in-law, and other family.
VISITATION: Mary Rose's family will greet relatives and friends at St. Michael Catholic Church, (8883 Forest View Road, Kewaskum) in St. Michael's, on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.
