Mary Catherine Timperio

Mary Catherine Timperio, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother,passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at the age of 95 surrounded by her family.
Born on May 23, 1930, Mary spent her early years in South Philadelphia, embodying the vibrant spirit of the community. She attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel grade school and graduated from Hallahan Girls High School. Mary had a passion for dance, she was a huge fan of the Quaker City Mummers and as soon as she heard the "Golden Slipper" she would step into motion, as well as winning jitterbug contests. Even as her family moved to the Northeast section of Philadelphia, Mary remained dedicated to her education and faith, commuting daily to Hallahan and workingas a babysitter to support her tuition, while contemplating a life devoted to the church.
Mary's home was renowned for its warmth and hospitality, becoming the heart of many gatherings for friends and family. She was a gracious hostess, known for summertime picnics and winter sledding adventures, always welcoming neighbors with hot chocolate and laughter.
An exemplary shopper, Mary's skill earned her the affectionate title of having a "black belt in shopping," a talent she lovingly passed on to her daughters and granddaughters. Her husband, William T. Timperio, Sr., frequently tried his best to keep her love of casinos at bay, eventually buying slot machines for their home.
Throughout her life, Mary was the cornerstone of her family, supporting her husband's business endeavors and ensuring everything was impeccably organized. Her generosity and kindness were boundless; she never forgot a birthday and always put others before herself.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband, William T. Timperio, Sr.; her cherished children, William T. Timperio, Jr. and his wife Sherry. Ritamarie Schilk and her husband Nicholas, and Mary Ann Fox and her husband Paul. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Jack Womack, Brittany Booth, Amanda McDonald and Nicole Hughes, and her adored great-grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Emilia, and Sophia. Mary is also survived by her loving extended family, Britney Fox-Karnel, Penelope, Lincoln, and Emerson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Saint Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
