Mary Elizabeth Tocco, age 91, of Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, on November 29, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Harlow Smith and Dora (Wickenheiser) Tansley.

Mary graduated from Saint Paul High School on the Lake in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, class of 1952. She worked twenty years at Detroit Edison as a secretary in their insurance, public affairs and legal departments. After her retirement in 1998, she became involved in the community and volunteered at the Senior Center in Saint Clair Shores. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and planting flowers in her garden.

Mary is survived by her children Tony (Janet), Maria (Gregg), Sandy (Paul), Joanne (Jeff), and Annette (Ron); ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; her dearest sister-in-law, Patricia, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred, and her sons, Steve and Robert and her siblings Willard (Charlotte), Lawrence, Henry, Harlow (Mamie), Charles, Vicky (Jack), and Glen.
