Mary Ruth Tuttle, 95, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away at 12:06 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Green Hills Care Center with her family by her side. She was born in West Liberty, Ohio on June 12, 1929, to the late William G. and Carrie A. (Strain) Knoff.
On July 27, 1957, Mary married Leland E. Tuttle, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2020.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Ronald) Dodds, and Karen (William) Topping; four grandchildren, Angie (Roy) Brede, Andrea (Alex) Grundy, Aaron (Peggy Payne) Topping and Leigh Anne (Nate) Meyer; thirteen great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alanna, Garrett, Elise, Mitchell, Tristan, Zachary, Evan, Emma, Aeva, Cayden, Bronson, and Talia S.; great-great grandchild, Talia N.
Along with her husband and parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her siblings, Phyllis Hartzler, Nora McMellen, James Knoff, and Donald Knoff.
Mary was a member of the Lewistown-Trinity United Methodist Church and a 75-year member of the Eastern Star Masonic Lodge. She graduated from Monroe Township High School as a class Valedictorian. Mary loved to bake and spend time with her family and grandchildren, caring for them all.
Pastor Debra Ketcham will officiate a funeral service at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11 am to 12 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
