Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Unfried, 95, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Bethel Manor. Beth was born in Eldorado, Illinois on April 1, 1930, to the late John F. and Mary E. (Genet) Schimp. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Resurrection Catholic Church. Surviving Beth are a daughter, Shari (Ed) Seitz; three sons, David (Terri) Unfried, Mark (Shelley) Unfried and Keith Unfried; twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Willard Unfried and by two brothers and their wives, William and Ruth Schimp and Joseph "Earl" and Ruth Schimp. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Resurrection Catholic Church, Rev. Raymond Brenner officiating. Burial will take place in St. Patrick Catholic Church cemetery in Enfield, Illinois. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass on Friday at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5301 New Harmony Road, Evansville, IN 47720. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Ivy Unit at Bethel Manor for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul at Resurrection or the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, 809 N Lafayette Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711. Condolences may be made online at www.pierrefuneralhome.com.
