Mary Ann Valyo, (nee Swede) age 82, on October 30, 2023, of Newtown Square, PA.
Born in Upper Merion Township, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Edward T. and Ann Cygal Swede. She lived in Malvern for 44 years before moving to White Horse Village. She was a former member of St. Patrick's parish in Malvern.
Mary Ann worked at Gimbels in King of Prussia for many years, but her most enjoyable job was nannying for children who she loved as her own.
Mary Ann cherished the time she spent with family and friends. She also enjoyed her many hobbies including floral design, drawing, and painting.
Predeceased by her husband James Valyo, brother Edward Swede Jr., and her daughter, Karen Valyo.
Survived by her nieces and nephews, Patricia Skahan (Larry), Kathy Valyo, Steven Valyo (Charlotte), David Valyo, and Thomas Valyo (Catherine), and several great nieces and nephews.
Relatives & friends are invited to her Visitation on Friday, November 17th 10:45 – 11:15 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM at S.S. Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382. Inurnment Philadelphia Memorial Park.
