Mary Jane Teresa VanDyke, 75 years of Ida, MI, died on Wednesday October 1, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Toledo, OH). Family and friends may visit Capaul Funeral Home (Ida, MI) on Tuesday October 7, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm. Mary Jane will lie-in-state at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Ida, MI) on Wednesday October 8, 2025, from 10:30am until Mass of the Resurrection commences at 11am. Mary Jane's burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (Ida, MI) immediately following Mass of the Resurrection. Father Christopher Muer will officiate.

Born on October 8, 1949, in Monroe, MI, Mary Jane was daughter of Wilfred and Rose (LaVoy) Kiley. She was a 1968 St. Mary Academy graduate. After graduating, Mary Jane married Jack VanDyke on June 20, 1969, at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Erie, MI). For 8 years, she was a bus driver for Ida Public Schools and for 10 years, she was a bus driver for Monroe County ISD, eventually retiring. Prior to bus driving, Mary Jane worked for Monroe Convalescent Center, and Monroe Bank & Trust. When she wasn't working, Mary Jane enjoyed cooking with the Christian Mothers, baking cookies and cakes, holiday decorating, shopping at QVC, and spending quality time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Jack, her sons Samuel (Megan) and Joseph (Jessica), and her five grandchildren Madeline, Brandon, Isabelle, Aaron, and Evan. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her son Scott, her parents, her brother Wilfred Kiley, and her stepmother Letha Kiley.

Memorial contributions can be made out to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
