Mary Frances Vassar
Sadly, our beloved mom, grandmother and friend, Mary Vassar passed away on February 12, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mary was born to William and Marie Wilson in Ranger, Texas and is survived by her daughters, Shelia Brown of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Teresa Vassar of Arlington, Texas and Mary Dawn Vassar of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Zachary Brown, Parker Brown, Tanner Listerman and Lily Listerman all of Stillwater, and one brother Stan Wilson (Dianne) from Ft. Worth, Texas. Mary also has four nieces (Brenda Guilford, Janice Sims, Melissa Moore, Melody Johnson) and two nephews (James Bratton and Stan Wilson, Jr.) She is preceded in death by her husband Allan (Shorty) Vassar, her parents, one sister and two brothers (Patricia Bratton, Darrell Wilson, Kenny Wilson.)
Mary was a big personality in a small package, and had an impact on each person she interacted with. She enjoyed country music, dancing and bowling. Her greatest joys and accomplishments were the love of her husband and the gift of being a devoted mother and grandmother.
The funeral service for Mary will be on Friday, February 21st at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Dighton Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater, Oklahoma.
