Mary Lou Vicker

Mary Lou Vicker, age 82, of Amery, Wisconsin, peacefully paced away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, Minnesota, with her loving daughter by her side. Mary was born on October 16, 1943, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to Leo and Irene (Glinski) Sether. She spent many years working as a teacher's aide and o ce assistant at McKinley Elementary School in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, where she dedicated approximately 25 years helping students and supporting sta Later in life, Mary Lou selflessly retired to become a full-time caregiver for her mother during her battle with a terminal illness.

Mary Lou found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved taking family trips, spending time reading, and baking delicious pies that she proudly shared with family and friends. Her kitchen was often filled with the smell of fresh baking, and she rarely let anyone leave without a slice to take home. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino and shopping with her daughter. In her younger years, she participated in bowling leagues and was a former member of the Moose Lodge. Mary Lou was a faithful member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stevens Point until moving to Amery in 2013.

Mary Lou will be remembered for her caring heart, her quiet strength, and the love she had for her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Kris Vicker and other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda (Vicker) Collins; her significant other, Robert "Bob" Vicker; her parents, Leo and Irene (Glinski) Sether; and her beloved grand dogs, Granger, Zora, Maks, Mopar, Sundance, Magnum, and Sheba.

Mary Lou will be laid to rest at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
