Mary K. Vinton

Mary Kathleen Vinton, 58, of Port Chester, NY passed away on July 2, 2025, after a lengthy battle with a long illness. She is survived by her parents, Thomas A. and Maureen B. Vinton of Eastchester, NY, her daughter Gabriella Celestino of White Plains, NY, brothers Thomas B. Vinton of Scarsdale, NY, William Vinton of the Bronx, NY and Robert of Eastchester, NY, sisters Caroline Gilmore of Harrison, NY, Christine Guiffra of Greenwich, CT and Ann Vinton of St. Petersburg, FL.
Through her illness, Mary maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty and love of family and friends. She graduated from Resurrection High School in Rye, NY and Stonehill College in Easton, MA. Mary was incredibility creative in so many aspects of her life, in particular was a beautiful poet and storyteller.
She spent most of her career writing grants for charitable institutions. Her outgoing personality gained her many friends, and she was always the one who would light up a family gathering with songs and laughter. She will be truly missed by her family, particularly her grandchildren, Robert, Joseph and Angelina, whom she adored.
Also, the many friends she made during her journey through life.
There will be a viewing at Westchester Funeral Home, Eastchester, NY on Monday, July 7 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarsdale, NY at 10:00 am on Tuesday July 8.
