The former Mary Ann Johnson was born May 30, 1949, in Geneseo, the daughter of Clarence and Marjorie (Howarth) Johnson. She married Gary Walters on July 3, 1970, in Bartow, Florida. She worked as a waitress and school bus driver. She also was the bookkeeper for her husband’s plumbing business for many years.
Mary Ann enjoyed reading mystery books, getting pampered with manicures and pedicures, golfing, and getting together with her friends to play cards and go to lunch. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Mary Ann, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband, Gary; two children, Tina Walters and Christopher Walters, both of Geneseo; three grandchildren, Gabriel Moss, and Lana and Jacob Walters; and a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Mary Ellen Johnson of Enid, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Colin Johnson and Jeanne Kirkpatrick.
