Mary L. Walters

Mary L. Walters, 90, of Christiana, formerly of Quarryville, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Born in Columbia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Minnick) Burgentine and was the loving wife of the late Clair Walters. Mary was a short order cook at local restaurants throughout her life. She enjoyed painting ceramics and raising Koi in the fish ponds on her property. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by 2 daughters: Charmaine Walters Jackson, fiancé of James Skethway of Quarryville and Carol, wife of Robert Yeager of New Providence. She was Mal-Mal to 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Rickie Walters, two brothers and a sister.
A service celebrating Mary's life will be take place at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 227 W. 4th St., Quarryville, PA on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Blake Deibler officiating.
