With deepest of sorrow, we announce that our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister, friend, Mary Jean Weiss, left this earth after 96 years into the arms of God, peacefully entering His kingdom with her loving family by her side. Mary spent her entire life in Kent, OH. A daughter of Italian Immigrants, she married her beloved husband, the late Robert R. “Bob” Weiss, in 1951. Together they shared 63 loving years: a journey they devoted to their four children and their happiness.
Mary wore her family pride on her sleeve for all to see, and told anyone who would listen. A devoted woman that knew the value of love, kindness, and happiness, she achieved her goals leaving many with fond memories of their time spent together and a personality which was both unmatchable and unstoppable. Mary had many close friends that she was devoted to, as she always enjoyed and looked forward to those times. Be it a coke break or a hot fudge sundae, the laughs and smiles were always in the air and she cherished those days with her friends.
Mary spent decades with Christian ministries and local activities. She was one of the oldest members of her beloved church community at St. Patrick; the same church she was baptized in that will also celebrate her life into eternity. Now her life has come full circle completing her mission of family and her unending devotion to the Lord. Her mark will always be an inspiration to all who knew this beautiful soul. Now her final wish has been granted, to rest beside her beloved husband, Robert, forever, as it was meant to be. She will be forever missed and those she touched may carry on her passion for life, love and family to the next generation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, James and Vera Imperial (nee Arganti); sisters, Francis Leslie, and Katherine Gardner. She is survived by her children, Robert J. Weiss (Terri), Richard Todd Weiss (Wendy), Ronald Weiss, and Carolyn Brown (Donald); sister, Joanne Hartman; many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and many close friends. Our family would like to personally extend their sincerest thanks to the professional and loving caregivers who displayed compassion and kindness every minute of every day for our “Ms. Mary” and we are indebted to you for all you have done. Kudos from all us and thank you again to all who touched Mary's heart.
"Listen closely to the winds, and hear the gentle whisper of an angel's wings in flight. Look far into the sky and see the shimmering stardust left behind."
