Mary Ann Wierda

Mary Ann Wierda, age of 87 of Holland passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her children: Karen and Jim Jalving, Laurie and Stan Thies and Bill and Marlene Wierda; grandchildren: Katie Thies, Rachel and Max Woodward, Marlee Wierda and Brooke Wierda: a great grandchild expected in June; her sister-in-law Sue and Curt Pals; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Bob in 2017. She worked for many years at Zeeland Community Hospital in the admitting office. Mary Ann was a member of Christ Memorial Church. Mary Ann loved to spend time with her Family and especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with Bob in their RV. Mary Ann was very talented at needle point, crocheting and was always ready for a game of cards.
Mary Ann's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lakeside Vista and Gentiva Hospice for the loving care given to their mother.
Visitation will be 10-11 AM Tuesday, April 25, 2023, with the memorial service to follow at 11 AM at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street, Holland. Memorial contributions may be given to Gentiva Hospice. www.langelandsterenberg.com
