Mary Wierman Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 3, 2025.
Mary Magaret Wierman (neé Beckman), 85, was called from this world to her Lord and Savior Almighty on Saturday, September 27th, 2025. Born on a Sunday to Myrtle and Joseph Beckman, on April 28th, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Peggy, as she was called by her immediate family, graduated from high school in 1957. She married her one true love, Roger Wierman, at the Basilica of St. Mary in 1962. Settling in what was in those days still the village of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, they built a home and a life, the basis of which was unconditional love and unshakeable faith. Founding members of the Epiphany Catholic Church, together they raised 7 children. A loving wife and devoted, doting mother, Marge, as she was known to family and friends, worked with students with special needs in District 11 for 20+ years. This woman of diminutive stature was an absolute colossus in her community and not one to be trifled with! Generous to a fault with her time and care to others, especially to those in need. She was a tireless advocate for the less fortunate. Marge contributed to numerous charitable organizations in her lifetime. A few of her favorites were Sharing & Caring Hands, Pro Life Across America, and The Church of The Epiphany/Epiphany Catholic School. Quick to laugh. Quicker to forgive. Oma's great joy was in the simple pleasure of spending time with her family, in particular her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marge's faith was the foundation of her being, sustaining her through many of life's challenges and tragedies. A survivor of cancer. Always to put the needs and wants of others before her own. Ceaseless in her kindness, boundless in charity of her time and unrivaled in her devotion to family. A daughter, a sister, an aunt, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a church member, a colleague, a confidant, a friend. Hers was a life lived for others. Preceded in death by her parents Myrtle and Joseph Beckman, her siblings: Josephine, Patty, Connie, Jerry, and Mike, and her beloved grandsons Joshua and Dylan. Survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Roger, her children Ben, Matt (Sheri), Andy (Amy), Aimee (Terry), Molly (Chris), Adam (Kelly), and Joseph, grandchildren: Zachary, Sarah, Jamie (Ben), Isaac, Madilyne, Abby (Skip), Levi, Giles, Raegan, and Taya, and 5 great grandchildren Elliana, McKenna, Maverick, Brooklyn, and Kennedy. Marge will be laid to rest on Friday, October 10th, 2025 at Epiphany Catholic Church, 1900 111th Ave., Coon Rapids, MN 55433. Visitation from 9:30-10:30am. Funeral mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow with a luncheon.
