Mary Ann Coreil Williamson passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in 1947 in Ville Platte, Louisiana, Mary Ann was the youngest of Mary and Leonard Coreil's four children.

Mary Ann attended Sacred Heart School in Ville Platte, LA before earning a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Louisiana Lafayette. She began her teaching career in Houma, Louisiana where she met her husband, Robert ("Bob") B. Williamson. Mary Ann and Bob were married 44 years before his passing.

While Mary Ann was an educator first, she had a passion for antique furniture and collectibles. She established a successful antique business which later expanded into crafts. Mary Ann was always on the lookout for a great piece of furniture or pottery to add to her personal collection or display in the shop.

Mary Ann was known for her competitive spirit and love of sports. A high school basketball player and later an avid tennis competitor, she remained active in athletics throughout her life. While raising her children, she often volunteered as a stroke judge at swim meets, and in later years, she rarely missed a televised football or basketball game.

A devoted Catholic, Mary Ann lived her faith deeply and passed on the traditions of the Church to her children and grandchildren.

Mary Ann is survived by her children: Julia K. Williamson; Laura W. Zimmerman and her husband, Brandon, along with their children William, Mary Grace, and Caroline; and Michael N. Williamson. She is also survived by her brother, Daniel Coreil, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Williamson; her brother, Leonard Coreil Jr.; and her sister, Carol Lynn Deshotels.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at 12:30PM with a Funeral Mass following at 1PM, on Thursday, October 23, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. Interment of ashes will be at Noon on October 24th at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
