Mary Lou Young, 77, of Royalston MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones the evening of July 12 th , 2025, in her home after a long battle with cancer. Mary was born August 10th, 1947, in Barton, Vermont to Helen and Herbert Rollins. She was the youngest of five children.
Mary grew up on a small milking farm in Barton Vt. She had a 30 plus year long career at Comcast as a Customer Service Specialist.
Outside of her successful career Mary was an amazing mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.
Some of her favorite things would be have to be the beach, playing cards with her sister and nephew and loved maple creamy ice-cream. Always the life of the party. Spending time making her family laugh. Mary was fiery right up to the very end. Anyone that got to meet her was lucky and most definitely left laughing
She was preceded in death by her mom Helen Rollins, dad Herbert Rollins, sister Myrtle Jeryskowski, brother Richard Rollins, sister Doris Laclair, daughter Michelle Massey, Husband Sylvio Thibodeau. She leaves behind her sister Joan Frobig, children Tammy (Massey) Ayers, and her Fiancé Dennis Nolette, Jennifer Young, and Grandchildren Sydni Ayers, Michael Morin, Bradley Ayers, and many loving nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Michael Drapeau for helping Mary live out her wish of remaining home during her final days.
There will be a private burial for her family and a celebration of life to follow.
