Obituary of MaryAnn Stanley
MaryAnn Stanley, age 38, passed away on September 15th, 2023 surrounded by her family in Lexington, SC. She was born January 13th, 1985, in Columbia, SC to Gary Andrew Gault and Lisa Kay Livingston Darby.
MaryAnn graduated from Gilbert High School. She was a devout Christian who thoroughly enjoyed studying the word with Joyce Meyer. She was born with cerebral palsy, but never let that deter her mind or spirit. She was very opinionated and quick to let you know her opinions. She was always optimistic and encouraging to others.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by many. Her impact will be felt and missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her mother, Lisa Kay Livingston Darby (Duck) of Pelion, SC; her sisters, Mandy Marie Counts (Johnathan Counts) of Blythewood, SC, and Melissa Jean Briggs (Tone) of Pelion, SC; her grandparents, Mary Frances Miers (Joe Miers) of Eastover, SC, and Georgette Koerner of Gaston, SC. She also leaves behind her uncle, Gerald Lee Livingston (Lori) of Eastover, SC; aunt, Pamela Jean Sitton (Greg) of Blythewood, SC; nieces, Alexis Briggs, Ariana Beasley, Alexandria Beasley, and Brelynn Counts; nephews, Bryson Seeger and Johnathan "Ridge" Counts; cousins, Marla Rye, Cody Sitton, Dalton Livingston, Lakin Sitton, and Candice Livingston; and a host of other relatives and loved ones near and far.
MaryAnn is predeceased by her Great Grandmother, Marie Elizabeth Stanley and Great Grandfather Thomas Stanley who were an integral part of MaryAnn's younger years. She was their "baby doll". They are now reunited walking hand in hand down the streets of gold.
MaryAnn is also predeceased by her father, Gary Andrew Gault; stepfather, Russel Clyde Darby; maternal Grandfather, Francis "PeeWee" Eugene Livingston, Jr.; and nephew, Christopher Wade Seeger.
A memorial service for MaryAnn will be held on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 at 4pm at Pine View Baptist Church, 111 Pine View Baptist Church Rd. Blythewood, SC 29016.
