MaryAnn Szyper

MaryAnn Szyper (nee Malaczewski), of Philadelphia, passed away on December 19th, 2023 at the age of 82. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard A. Szyper; devoted mother of Karen Medvidik (Michael), Deborah Szyper (Al Corr), Pamela Stetler (David), and Leonard N. Szyper (Kimberly); loving Mommom of Michael, Lori, Stephen, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Taylor, Kathleen, Melissa, Michelle, Amanda, Emily and Nicholas; and loving great grandmother of Lilyanna, Teagan, Havyn, Kennedy, Samantha, Grace, Logan, Jordyn, Aidyn, Avery, Thomas, Lucas, James, Leonard, Maryann, Leon, and Anthony.
MaryAnn was born and raised in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia to her parents John (step-father) and Catherine. She was a graduate of Nativity BVM, and then went on to graduate from Business School. MaryAnn was the Founder and co-owner of Custom Co-Pak, LLC with her late husband Leonard. Most of all, MaryAnn wasa devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to MaryAnn's Life Celebration on Friday, December 22rd from 6 – 8 PM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154, and on Saturday, December 23rd at Our Lady of Calvary Church from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, 11024 Knights Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment services will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in MaryAnn's name to Susan G.
