MaryAnn Thomka Obituary
MaryAnn is also survived by her sister Verna Abler and sisters-in-law, June Sheehan and Joanie Byrnes. MaryAnn cherished her role as grandma to 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
MaryAnn was a long-time member of St. Leonard Catholic Church and enjoyed the friendships she developed along the way.
She was born in Fond du Lac, WI on October 10,1934, graduated in 1956 from St. Mary Springs Academy then went on to receive her diploma in Nursing from St. Mary Mercy School of Nursing in Gary, IN. She also loved her role as a Registered Nurse and didn't retire from the profession until the age of 78.
In addition, our family would like to send special thanks to the Agrace Hospice staff and Tunga, her excellent in-home caregiver for all of the kindness, compassion, and professionalism they showed to Mom in the last few weeks of her life on this Earth.
Our parents, MaryAnn and Bill were surrounded by wonderful friends and neighbors all of their lives. Be happy for MaryAnn. That's all she would have wanted.
A Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Leonard Catholic Church, W173 S7743 Westwood Dr. Muskego, WI followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Leonard Catholic Church.
