Roger Mackie Obituary
Roger G. Mackie, beloved husband, father, grandfather, Uncle, Cousin and friend passed away at age 89 on August 12th 2025 in Oak Creek WI surrounded by his family.
Roger was the cherished husband of Sharon (Helgeson) for 62 years. Loving father of Craig (Lisa) and Stephanie (Ray Phillips). Proud Grandpa to Daniel and Janelle.
Roger was preceded in death by four siblings and his parents.
Roger was born on October 6th 1935 in Foster City MI. After graduating from Kingsford MI High School he attended Brown Institute of Technology in St. Paul MN.
Roger's career as an Engineering Manager at General Motors Delco Electronics was notable for his contributions to the Apollo project. He retired 30 years ago and enjoyed a fulfilling life filled with hobbies like bowling, fishing and traveling. He also had a fondness for Las Vegas and was quite the handyman.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial visitation will be held on September 6, 2025, at SOUTH MILWAUKEE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1327 Marshall Ave., South Milwaukee from 10:00 AM until the memorial service at 12:00 PM.
