Marye Katherine Farmer

Marye Katherine Farmer, age 77, of Springfield, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at the TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Pastor Rebekah Rochte officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with Pat Sneed, Jake Sneed, Ryan Sneed, Rudy Farmer, Mikey Farmer, Dustin Sneed, Johnny Shelton and Jeff Shelton serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Jones, Paige Skeen and Lincoln Farmer. The family will receive friends from 11am until time of the service at 1pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Farmer was born June 18, 1948, in Springfield, to the late Roy Philip Sneed and the late Martha Bell Winn Sneed. She worked as a business analyst for AIG Insurance for 45 years and was a member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farmer was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Scott "Scotty" Farmer. She is survived by her daughters, Renee (Clint) Eden and Michelle (Jimmy) Edwards; 5 grandchildren, Emma Eden, Samuel Eden, Daniel Eden, Easton Edwards, and Blair Edwards; brothers, Bob (Kathy) Sneed and Phil (Marcy) Sneed; brothers-in-law, Mike (Cindy) Farmer and Tim (Marcia) Farmer; sisters-in-law, Barbara Shelton and Peggy Bunn; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
