Marylon E. Rumph, age 91, of Seymour, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025 at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.
Born on October 6, 1933, in Salem, Indiana, Marylon was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Vera Cauble Killion.
She married Louis Rumph on June 3, 1951 at Central Christian Church in Seymour.
Marylon loved gardening and growing strawberries. She was an excellent cook and baker, which was made evident from the numerous baked goods she made from the abundance of persimmon trees and strawberry plants on their farm. Her kitchen and her house was always kept immaculate. Marylon enjoyed sewing and made all the girl's clothes. She found great joy in traveling, and spending her winters in Florida.
Above all, she treasured her role as a Nana, finding her greatest joy in the laughter, hugs, and milestones of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved attending numerous cross country meets, track meets, baseball games and piano recitals.
Marylon is survived by her daughters, Becky (Mike) Miller and Jenny Rumph; granddaughters, Sara (Bill) Bane and Jenna Miller; three great-grandchildren, Luke, Jude and Eleanor Bane; and twin sister, Carylon Chambers.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Arthur Killion Jr.; and two sisters, Bonnie Hess and Mary Lou Nichter.
