Marylyn Hellems Obituary
She was born in Highland Park, Michigan on January 17, 1942 to the late Edith (nee Smith) and Herman Kohl.
Marylyn worked for the Founders Society of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Upon retirement she enjoyed spending her time with her family, friends, traveling and volunteering. She was an active parishioner at St. Joan of Arc teaching catechism for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorrie Anne Lipa (Jerry) and Holly Louise Gisman (Michael); granddaughter, Lauren Marie Lipa; and brother, George Kohl.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Torovich and John Hellems; sister, Carolyn Kohl-Kurdziel; and her brother, Thomas Kohl.
A private celebration of life will be held in her memory.
