Mason Allen Armagno will forever be 17 years young. Mason was born September 24, 2007 and departed this earth on May 27, 2025. Mason attended Whitney Point High School and Broome-Tioga BOCES and was anticipated to graduate from the HERO program. Mason had a passion for playing football for Coach Hakes, and playing baseball for Coach Matt that was unsurpassed. Mason considered going to college just to play more sports, but decided more school work wasn't for him. He was a proud New Yorker, loving the NY Giants and Yankees. Mason enjoyed hunting deer, duck and turkey with his father and brothers. Mason was an adrenaline junky like his mom. Mason and his mom were joined at the hip at every amusement park, waiting to hit the next coaster without fear. Mason enjoyed anything with a motor. Mason once tore apart a lawnmower, all the way down to the push-rods. He branded the nickname "push-rod" for a bit because the motor never ran again. He smiled the brightest when he was playing baseball, kickball, wiffle ball, or football with his brothers in the backyard. Mason adored the family pets Arlo, Phoebe, Dutch, Buckley, Gertie, and Scruffy; always willing to give them a hug or scratch as they passed. When Mason was little, he would pride himself on caring for his younger brothers as they grew up with him. Mason was loved by all who knew him and will be forever missed.
Mason was predeceased by his grandfather, Mark Savory. Mason is survived by his mother, Ashley (Savory) Armagno, father, Vincent Armagno, brothers Vincent (16), Hunter (13) and Bowen (11), grandparents Rose and Steve Bamann, Michael Armagno and Jackie Strong, and Penny Savory. Mason was survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with several friends from high school. Mason had a vast extended family who will miss him immensely.
Mason's family will receive friends and family at Sunset Memorial Services on Saturday, May 31, 2025; viewing 2-5pm with a funeral service immediately following. There will be a dinner held at the Lisle Fire Station at 6pm. All who loved Mason are welcome to attend.
Mason's family is forever thankful for the outreach and support during this difficult time.
