Matthew Bishop, 52, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024.
He was born on December 26, 1972 in Sumter, South Carolina to Dennis and Jude (Flaherty) Bishop. He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Bishop.
Matt was a 1991 graduate of St. X High School. After high school he completed the KY Tech Aviation Maintenance Program in 1996, he was a member of the Air National Guard. Matt was employed by FedEx as a semi truck driver where he received many safety awards. His passions includes any and all things to do with cars and drag racing.
Matt is survived by his loving mother, Jude Bishop; brothers, David (Cheryl) Bishop, Russell L. Bishop; niece, Rebecca R. Bishop; nephews, Luke (LaVella) Bishop, Nicholas Bishop, Brendan Bishop; and great-niece, Elodie J. Bishop.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243.
