Matt Prda, 65, of Frankston, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2025, in Tyler, Texas.

Born on November 29, 1959, in Dallas, Texas Matt was the son of James Prda and Judy Milholland Prda. From an early age, Matt was known for his strong spirit, creativity, and deep sense of loyalty. He was a devoted son, father, brother, and grandfather who placed family above all else. Whether it was a holiday gathering, a backyard cookout, or just a simple phone call, he showed up with love, laughter, and unwavering support.

Matt was deeply proud of his Czech heritage and carried that pride with him in everything he did. His work as a teamster in the film industry spanned countless productions, where he was respected not only for his dedication and work ethic but also for his easygoing nature and ability to make fast friends on any set. Beyond that, Matt had an incredible artistic talent and was a true lover of good music and good times. Matt brought joy and humor into every room he entered, he was someone you could call at any hour, and he would be there-no questions asked, ready to lend a hand or just sit and listen no matter the circumstance. His loyalty ran deep, and his heart was even deeper.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Stanley Prda, and his grandparents, May Pearl and George Stanley Prda.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Judy Lynn Prda; his children, Jeremy James Prda and wife Corie, and Amanda Ann Prda and husband Jaysen Dry; his siblings, Marc Prda and wife Leah, Sha Henry and husband Scooter, Jennifer Prda and husband William Harwell, and Ashley Prda; and his beloved grandchildren, Devon, Damien, Natalee, Zach, Grayson, Hudson, and Amarley.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Chapel.
