Gail Estella Laudenslager passed away peacefully in the hospital on September 13 after a fall at her home on September 8.
Gail was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her first husband Donald Brinker with whom she was married 30 years until his passing, and her second husband Ronald Laudenslager with whom she was married 32 years.
She is survived by her four children: son Timothy Brinker (husband to Mary Ann), daughter Terry Iacocca (wife to Michael), daughter Debra, and son Donald (husband to Tina), five grandchildren Nathaniel, Zachary, Nicole, Ashlie and Ryan, and four great-grandchildren Eli, Eva, Matteo, and Emma.
Gail was born in Emmaus, Pennsylvania on November 22,1935 to Clarence Kehm and Catherine Knedler. Gail grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania and graduated from William Allen High School in 1954. Music was always central in her life. She became a gifted piano player at an early age, a talent she refined and found great joy in through her entire life.
After her children were all school age Gail worked in the Allentown school district in various capacities during the hours the children were in school, then full time as a school secretary before accepting a full-time position at the Pennsylvania Power & Light Company in Allentown, Pennsylvania where she worked as a secretary until her retirement.
Over the years Gail travelled extensively within America and settled down in several different States including Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Wisconsin and Texas. She also took the opportunity to travel to Sweden in 1989 to visit her eldest son and his family, and later in life she toured Australia.
In addition to playing the piano Gail's musical interest included singing. She was an active member with her church families wherever she settled down, most recently in Eau Clair, Wisconsin (Holcombe Methodist Church), Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin (Zion Methodist Church) and finally in Palestine, Texas (Grace Methodist Church, and Syndeo Ministries). She loved to sing, often with the choir, and would gladly jump in to play the piano. She enjoyed attending Bible Studies with her church families, and was an active leader in collecting up prayer requests and communicating them within the church family.
Gail liked to cook and bake and was quite good at it. In her younger years she could even be found canning vegetables. Later in life her hobbies included greeting card making, in addition to her passion for music. Gail had a long and adventure filled life. She never met a stranger, and was always willing to talk, share her life experience, and to jump in to help where she could.
A memorial will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 12.00 p.m. at the Herrington Funeral Home in Palestine, Texas.

Gail and I went back such a long time ago mostly in grade school and in our teen age years. I went to school and even to church services with her and loved her singing and she was such fun to be with.
I was also so close to her first husband, Donald. We also went to the same schools and continued for many years.
Gail left an impression on anyone she met. Loving and fun. We also were able to celebrate our birthdays since she was only 2 months older than I was and that was also a reason to be close.
Love to the family and my best wishes for her lovely family and friends.

I remain always a friend,
Phyllis Michael Bachman

We were neighbors of Gail and Ron when they lived in Holcombe. She was such a dear lady and will be missed by so many. I did not realize she had passed away until Sunday, the 12th. Our sincere condolences to her family. Her passing leaves a hole that will be impossible to fill.
