Matt Rawlings

Matthew Douglas Rawlings, born December 29, 1973- died July 8, 2025. Matt was born in Missoula, Montana, and was welcomed into the family of Richard and Judi Rawlings at three weeks of age. His youth was spent in Billings, Montana, enjoying the freedom a young boy, helping with farm animals, rafting on a small pond, roaming the acreage of a small farm, and riding a go-kart across the fields. The Rawlings family moved to Nampa, Idaho, where Matt completed his junior high and high school education. He developed a love for all things internet, building a large foundation of friendships scattered across many countries. Matt struggled with ill health his entire life, always with a grace that amazed those who cared for him. He struggled with body casts correcting a congenital hip, two kidney transplants, open heart surgery, and multiple allergies. He succumbed as his heart and lungs finally gave up. Matt is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Judi Rawlings, his older brother, Tom, a younger brother, Mark, and Mark's wife, Jessi, niece, Kylie, and nephew, Quintin, both of whom he dearly loved. Nurses and doctors often marveled at the peace Matt eluded as he struggled with his health. His faith in his Lord carried him and he is now in the loving arms of his Lord. He will be sorely missed.
