Martha Rawlings Obituary
Mrs. Martha Cifers Rawlings, 86, of Emporia, widow of Gilbert L. “Skip” Rawlings, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Charles Journigan.
Martha is survived by two daughters, Joyce R. Driver (Dave) and Sandra R. Journigan (Russell); two sons, Michael Glenn Rawlings (Glenda) and David Wayne Rawlings (Christie); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice “Cookie” Gordon (Pete) and Lottie Gordon and a brother, William “Bud” Cifers (Madeline).
Her funeral service will be held graveside 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19 at Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 9:30-10:30 prior to the service at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia.
