Matt was born June 10th, 1952, in Greeley CO to the late John and Louise Romero
In 1971, Matt was married to Iris June Fellows. They later divorced but remained best friends until the day he passed.
Matt was a hardworking family man and loved to play tennis and fish in his younger days. He was involved in his church until his passing.
Matt leaves behind a son, Lonnie Romero (Karla Masters), Granddaughter Kayla Romero, Great Granddaughter Mercy Romero, sister Jayne Griego, brother Mike Romero, niece Lilly Griego, niece Katrina Romero, nephews John Romero & Jesse Griego.
He was a huge Broncos fan and loved his beautiful baby dog Sage.
He will forever be missed.
Visitation will be from 5pm - 7pm on Friday February 21st, 2025 at Adamson life Celebration Home.
Recitation of the Rosary followed by Mass of Christian burial will start at 10:30am on Friday February 28th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greeley CO with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 2pm.

I got to know Matt better sometime before he became my insurance agent. I've known Iris for at least 30yrs. He was such a generous, caring guy. He loved his family very much and would do anything to help them and assure they were ok and happy. He was very helpful to me when I went through something with my brother. It just doesn't seem possible we will never see him again on earth. I know he had a deep faith and God has given him peace. He has joined the angels for sure.

Met Matt in junior high school we were friends for a long time, worked at Jerry´s Mkt. together, ran into each other a lot through the years . I will miss your smile, optimistic attitude and very peaceful demeanor. Goodbye Matt.
